The UK government launched a £27.5m ‘Climate Leadership in Cities’ programme to support the world’s largest cities to develop, finance and implement plans for tackling climate change.
Support from USAID will allow the CFF to unlock financing for climate change adaptation and mitigation projects in developing and emerging economies in the global South.
The CFF is looking to unlock $1 billion in funding to provide technical assistance to support C40 cities prepare sustainable infrastructure projects due to a $5.7 million grant from BMZ & IADB.
