Dakar
City leader Mayor Soham El WardiniDakar joins the C40 Cities Finance Facility in the second phase as one of 14 new projects to receive funding to support the cities to realise their low-carbon and climate resilient projects. Cities throughout the world are struggling to ensure that they will be resilient to the rates of flooding predicted through climate change, particularly among some of the poorest and most vulnerable communities. Dakar will pave the way for other cities in Africa and the world. It will act as an example of a city which provides both a safe place to work and live, and reduces health risks.
