The C40 Cities Finance Facility and the Senate of Berlin are hosting the CFFactory on November 28-30th - an international conference on cities, climate change and finance.
Looking at the mechanics of sustainable infrastructure in cities, the 3-day event will explore and co-create transformative solutions to financing challenges in cities, with in-depth case studies on zero emission buses, cycling, and flood management.

Representatives from cities, national governments, financial institutions, NGOs and private sector as well as high-level guests are invited to discuss the challenges of facilitating and accelerating the rate of implementing high quality sustainable infrastructure in cities, through exchanging ideas and co-creating new solutions.
Representatives from Bogotá, Durban and Mexico City will be in attendance to talk about their experiences in preparing projects on cycling, ecosystem-based adaptation and electro-mobility respectively, in light of their partnership with the CFF. Through both panel and interactive sessions, discussions will centre around how the cities have overcome core challenges, and through which developed a greater capacity in the city to implement their respective and future projects, and also on the challenges that have yet to be overcome. These sessions using hands-on projects examples from the several countries, will be widely applicable for other urban areas within developing and emerging economies.
The CFFactory will open on the 28th of November with a keynote, followed by interactive debates on how to finance and fund climate-relevant urban infrastructure. On the 29th of November, Bogotá, eThekwini (Durban) and Mexico City will share insights into the lessons learnt on project preparation and financial modelling. The Berlin Senate invite you to visit climate infrastructure projects throughout the city on the 30th of November.
