This resource enables city officials in the Global South to independently explore finance and equity & inclusion considerations for preparing urban infrastructure projects.
The workbook’s content was first developed for the City Academy on Finance and Equity (CAFE), a series of workshops implemented by the C40 Cities Finance Facility (CFF) with its partner cities, and now is available to everyone. The workbook has four chapters that contain knowledge and tools to prepare sustainable and equitable infrastructure projects:
- The climate challenge faced by cities
- Equitable and inclusive best practice and processes
- The climate finance framework, finance instruments, and decision making tools
- Project preparation best practice and processes
Case studies covering city actions in the sectors of energy and buildings, solid waste management, nature-based solutions, and transport are included.
We are delighted to share this learning resource with our partner cities and beyond - explore the workbook below, get in touch if you have any questions/feedback, and please share with your networks!
